Business Expansion Manager (Catering & Facilities Services) - Oil & Gas

We have been engaged to identify a Business Expansion Manager who will spearhead the growth of catering and facilities management services within the oil and gas sector, with a strong focus on leveraging an existing portfolio of clients and exploring untapped opportunities.

The ideal candidate will design and execute strategies to expand market share, strengthen client relationships, and deliver tailored solutions for offshore and onshore projects. This role demands a proactive and strategic thinker with extensive industry knowledge and a proven track record in business development.

You would be strategic and results-oriented, with a proven track record in designing and executing growth strategies tailored to niche markets like offshore oil and gas. Strong analytical skills are essential for assessing market potential, competition, and client needs to drive informed decision-making.

With a deep understanding of the oil and gas sector, including offshore operations and procurement practices, we are looking for a candidate with a robust network of industry contacts to leverage for business growth. The role demands excellent leadership skills to inspire cross-functional teams and ensure alignment on objectives, as well as a collaborative mindset to work seamlessly with sales, operations, and marketing teams.

The candidate must exhibit a customer-centric approach, focusing on client satisfaction and delivering solutions that exceed expectations whilst building long-term client relationships and trust within the oil and gas ecosystem is vital.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Strategic Planning & Execution

  • Develop and execute business expansion strategies targeting the offshore and onshore oil and gas sectors.
  • Conduct market analysis to identify emerging trends, competitor offerings, and new business opportunities in the industry.
  • Create tailored strategies to penetrate new markets, focusing on offshore facilities and remote operations.
  • Align business objectives with client needs by leveraging an existing portfolio and nurturing long-term partnerships.

Business Development & Growth

  • Identify, pursue, and close new contracts for catering and facilities management services in collaboration with the sales and operations teams.
  • Build and manage relationships with key decision-makers in oil and gas companies, including procurement teams and offshore asset managers.
  • Expand service offerings to address client needs, such as providing innovative solutions for offshore dining, lodging, and maintenance.
  • Drive the growth of recurring revenue streams through upselling and cross-selling services.

Client Relationship Management

  • Act as a trusted advisor to clients, ensuring high-quality service delivery and satisfaction.
  • Lead client presentations and proposals, ensuring solutions are aligned with technical, operational, and budgetary requirements.
  • Regularly monitor KPIs and client feedback to optimize service delivery and identify opportunities for improvement.

Operational Integration & Execution

  • Collaborate with the operations team to ensure seamless project execution, particularly for complex offshore projects.
  • Oversee the development and delivery of customized catering and facilities management solutions, ensuring compliance with safety and industry standards.
  • Leverage technology and innovation to enhance efficiency and client experience in offshore environments.

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Facilities Management, or a related field; MBA preferred.
  • Minimum of 7+ years of experience in business development, sales, or operations management within catering, facilities management, or oil and gas.
  • Proven track record of securing and managing large-scale contracts, particularly offshore projects.
  • Knowledge of HSE regulations, offshore logistics, and facilities management best practices.

KPIs for Success

  • Revenue growth from new and existing clients in the oil and gas sector.
  • Number of new contracts secured, particularly offshore.
  • Client satisfaction scores and contract retention rates.
  • Operational efficiency improvements and successful project delivery.
