We have been exclusively engaged by our client, a leading Public-Private Partnership (PPP) healthcare organisation in Nigeria to identify a Senior Project Manager to deliver large-scale healthcare infrastructure and service projects designed to be innovative, sustainable, and impactful.

The Senior Project Manager will take ownership of planning, execution, and successful delivery of high-impact healthcare projects within a PPP framework.
This role is central to ensuring projects are aligned with strategic objectives, delivered within scope, on time, and within budget, while maintaining the highest quality standards.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Strategic Leadership
- Lead the design and implementation of strategic project plans aligned with national health priorities and the organisation’s long-term vision.
- Develop and communicate a clear project roadmap, ensuring all initiatives are sustainable, scalable, and aligned with public health outcomes.
- Anticipate sector trends and introduce innovative approaches to improve project effectiveness and efficiency within the PPP framework.
- Provide high-level guidance on risk management strategies, ensuring resilience and adaptability in project delivery.
Project Planning & Execution
- Oversee the full life cycle of complex healthcare projects, from initiation and feasibility studies through planning, implementation, monitoring, and closure.
- Translate strategic objectives into actionable plans, including timelines, milestones, deliverables, and KPIs.
- Ensure efficient resource allocation, balancing financial, human, and technological inputs for maximum impact.
- Monitor day-to-day project performance, resolving bottlenecks, and ensuring corrective actions are taken promptly.
- Drive a culture of accountability and precision in execution to achieve project success.
Stakeholder Engagement & Relationship Management
- Build and maintain strong working relationships with key stakeholders, including federal and state government agencies, private investors, donors, NGOs, and community representatives.
- Serve as the primary liaison, providing regular updates on progress, challenges, and opportunities.
- Negotiate effectively to secure stakeholder approvals, endorsements, and funding commitments.
- Ensure stakeholder expectations are managed and aligned with project realities, promoting trust and credibility.
Monitoring, Evaluation & Reporting
- Establish performance measurement frameworks with robust indicators to track project outcomes and impact.
- Lead the preparation of detailed reports for internal leadership, government partners, and funding agencies, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Conduct mid-term reviews, audits, and post-project evaluations to identify lessons learned and inform continuous improvement.
- Ensure compliance with local regulations, donor requirements, and international standards in reporting and evaluation.
Team Leadership & Capacity Building
- Lead and mentor a multidisciplinary project team, ensuring clarity of roles, motivation, and professional development.
- Foster a culture of innovation, excellence, and collaboration within the project team.
- Build capacity of junior project managers and staff through training, coaching, and exposure to best practices.
- Promote diversity, equity, and inclusion in team management and stakeholder collaboration.
Risk & Financial Management
- Develop and maintain a comprehensive project risk register, identifying high-impact risks and implementing mitigation strategies.
- Oversee project budgets, ensuring financial accountability, compliance, and cost efficiency, with a variance threshold not exceeding 5%.
- Report financial performance regularly, highlighting risks, variances, and corrective actions.
- Ensure procurement and resource utilisation adhere to organisational policies, government standards, and donor requirements.
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
- Bachelor’s degree in Project Management, Business, Engineering, or Health Management. Master’s preferred.
- 10+ years of project management experience, ideally in healthcare, Non-Governmental Organisations, Social Impact Driven, or PPP projects.
- Strong Stakeholder Engagement experience, leading strategy sessions and presentations. Government Relations experience is an extreme advantage
- Proven experience delivering large-scale, complex projects on time and within budget.
- PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent certification preferred.
- Strong understanding of Nigerian PPP frameworks, healthcare policy, and public-sector operations.
